What I’m Building Now and How You Can Be Part of It

Spring is so close I can almost touch Her, and I’m following Her lead and stepping into some Light and Blooming in my work and community spaces. Whether you’re new to my work or have been loosely connected for a while, I want to share what’s ahead—a mix of grief work, personal leadership, deep reflection, and creative collaboration.

What’s Ahead: Six Key Areas of My Work

1. Joy and Grief Collaboration with Thea Monyeé

Starting March 20th, Thea and I are launching a multi-year deep dive into joy and grief—how they shape us, how they move through our relationships, and how they help us hold what’s ending and what’s being created. Our first message drops on the Spring Equinox.

2. Storytending and Evolution with My Reflection Matters Village

I’m supporting Chemay Morales-James and the MRMV community as they evolve beyond their original focus on self-directed education into bigger questions about intuition, intergenerational learning, and what truly guides the self. We’re making the village’s conversations, resources, and reflections more visible and accessible to the community.

3. Expanding the Podcast Network

Inside Circle, I’m growing the podcast network with shows like What I Let Die, The Other Side of Midlife, and the history of Fare of the Free Child. But these aren’t just podcasts—they’re part of a larger conversation space where we can listen, reflect, and engage together. I'll share that link on March 23rd.

4. Courses & Learning Spaces

I’m moving my learning spaces into Circle, where courses like I Let It Die (returning in late summer, waiting list opening soon) and Spirituality on Your Own Terms will live. These courses explore grief, release, and personal spirituality outside of rigid structures.

5. Inner Child Work & Grief Circles

I’m bringing back Inner Child Parties (ICPs)—playful, reflective spaces where we reconnect with our younger selves. I’ll also continue hosting grief circles, where we explore body death, relational and identity losses, and life transitions. I’m also continuing my grief and aging-related training with Kripalu and Metro Atlanta organizations, both in person and virtually.

6. Coaching & Savor Study Halls

This spring, I’ll reopen coaching spaces, focusing on spiritual companioning and personal leadership in times of transition. Alongside that, Savor Study Halls will be spaces to slow down, ground, and reflect creatively—because tending to ourselves is part of tending to the world.

Moving With Intention

This work has always been about liberatory, grief-informed, community-rooted spacesplaces to process, to unlearn, to let go, and to build what’s next.

If you’re feeling drawn to these conversations, I invite you to stay connected, explore, and engage in whatever way feels right for you.

Would love to know—what part of this work feels most relevant to you right now? Drop a comment or message me.

With gratitude,

Akilah
