Episode 11 Postmortem (WILD Podcast)

Episode 11 Postmortem (WILD Podcast)

This one was a turning point.

Not because I taught something brand new—but because in Episode 11, I offered what grief has been teaching me, slowly and daily, in ways that don’t look like healing… but feel like homecoming.

In this episode, I didn’t just name grief practices—I walked us through some of them.
I slowed down enough to invite the body, the breath, and the memory to come with us, 'cause grief ain’t just something to understand--it's something to do.

We practiced:
• Let the Silence Speak (a one-minute sit that reveals more than it hides)
• Grief Body Check-In (to locate grief in the body, not just the brain)
• Micro-Funerals (a choose-your-rhythm ritual for letting something go)
• The Audio Mirror (a sacred voice memo practice—unfiltered, unperformed)
• Composting Grief (an invitation to turn endings into future nourishment)

That last one is especially tender. It doesn’t erase the loss.
But it gives the loss somewhere to go—somewhere to rest and rot and maybe, eventually, grow something else.

We also nodded to Kananápo, our word from the ILID course for non-body deaths.
Because grief doesn’t always wear black or come with casseroles.
Sometimes, it comes with a lost sense of purpose or a silent, unspoken shift in a friendship.

And I reminded us:
If you want to see the Grief is a Teacher or Grief is a Thief video, just ask.

Next week, we wrap this season with a simple, soulful how-to for holding grief circles.
